Successful PR in in a niche market sector
Synaptec is a manufacturer of technology for very specific areas within the offshore wind and transmission and distribution sectors, we’ve been working with them to bring their technology to the market for almost two years. Here’s how we’ve been supporting this thriving Glasgow-based tech company.
Adaptable PR for emerging technologies in energy
As an emerging and completely new entrant to the energy market Synaptec didn’t want a singular PR campaign but something sustained and consistent that would adapt as their product development evolved. As an agency this meant understanding both the product and the industry well enough to shift messages quickly and adapt our strategy as Synaptec’s discussions with clients threw up new avenues for the product in the marketplace.
Sector specific media relations
Synaptec’s target audience is senior decision makers in two specific industries – offshore wind and transmission and distribution. For media relations this meant working with a narrow trade publication list – in some instances there are only one or two relevant publications. Being an agency used to working in highly technical and niche industries this is something we face all the time – sustaining media relations in a limited market and with an ever-evolving product which requires adoption in an industry which has, historically, been resistant to change.
Supporting PR with LinkedIn
Synaptec is a perfect example of a client who doesn’t need multiple social platforms – their target audience is on LinkedIn and this is where social media efforts need to be focused. We used Synaptec’s company page as a media channel and to drive traffic to the website. The results of which you can see in the graphic on the left.
InFusion got the TOV right first time, they understand our products and our audience. They respond to briefs quickly and efficiently, and always on time! Highly recommended
