Evie Whitaker and Lauren Baker Join InFusion Comms

Continued growth and strong client retention has led to the addition of two new InFusion team members and expansion into a new office space.

We’re excited to welcome Lauren Baker and Evie Whitaker who join us as account manager and multimedia executive, respectively.

Lauren has made the jump into PR after working in a law firm as head of marketing and legal assistant for the past year. Lauren graduated from Northumbria University in 2018 with First Class Honours in Business with Marketing Management.

“I am excited to be taking this next step in my career. I’ve been connected with Sara on LinkedIn for a while and her knowledge and experience in the industry really stood out to me, as well as Sara’s continued promotion of diversity within the industry which is something I feel strongly about. Been given the opportunity to join a fast-growing agency like InFusion Comms and learn from someone as experienced as Sara is really exciting and I can’t wait to get started and give my all to developing my career here.”

Evie Whitaker first joined us as a placement student in 2018 and chose to come back for a second placement this summer as part of her degree in Journalism at Leeds Trinity University. Evie’s skills and interest in storytelling through video and podcasting will broaden the range of services we can offer to our clients.

“After completing two placements at Infusion Comms, I have developed skills and confidence in this sector of technical PR. I am delighted to be joining the team on a permanent basis. I feel it is a great achievement to have secured a position within the industry whilst working towards my Journalism degree and will allow me to put into practice all that I have learnt so far. This experience has emphasised the importance of businesses being open to taking on placement students committed to gaining experience, as mutually beneficial opportunities can arise. InFusion Comms provides me with the balance of a challenging, fast-paced PR environment with a welcoming and friendly workspace that Sara has created which made me eager to start my career here.”

Time to move on…

At the end of August the whole team will be moving to a new office space in Springfield Commercial Centre, Pudsey. This is an exciting development for InFusion as a business and the space will enable us to continue to grow and expand the range of services we can provide to clients.

We’re extremely excited to reveal our new space has a dedicated recording room with soundproofing, which means we can offer podcast recording and editing – a huge growth area for B2B businesses – as well as strategic and practical support for content distribution.

…as sustainably as possible

One of our commitments as a business has always been ethics and sustainability, working with renewable and clean-tech businesses we take our impact on the environment seriously and will be aiming to have a plastic-free office space when we move. As a business – this is hard to do but thankfully Leeds has a growing number of plastic-free and refill shops to support us in making those better choices. We’ll be posting regularly about our plastic-free journey, cool solutions we find, and areas in which we struggle.
