BCS Electrics has been in Leeds over 70 years, they’re a known and trusted company but owners Tony and Dean, wanted to push the company up a level – secure bigger contracts and bigger clients. Their goal was, in their words: “to become the best electrical contractor to work for, and with, in Yorkshire.”
Content marketing that makes a difference
After auditing their current communications across the channels they used (website, Twitter and LinkedIn) we established that what they presented to their publics was mismatched to their actual (successful) position.
They needed to better demonstrate their knowledge and experience of working with larger contractors and prove the value that their existing customers knew they added but was an unknown to potential customers.
To propel their communications in the correct direction we created, and worked consistently, on content marketing maps built around a small selection of keywords relevant to their desired audience. These were published at regular intervals and shared widely on social channels. The results so far have been a 40% increase in web traffic from LinkedIn making it their third highest referrer and a four point increase in their domain authority, contributing significantly towards achieving BCS Electrics’ goal “to become the best electrical contractor to work for, and with, in Yorkshire.”
