Part-time PR Manager – InFusion Comms, initial 3 month contract
As an account manager, we need you to work across earned, owned, social and paid media channels to meet our clients’ goals and objectives. You will support the director in the day to day management of client accounts, working with an account executive to produce work that includes:
- Media pitching
- Trade feature research and writing
- Owned media content
- Social media posting and engagement
- Client management
- Reports and client updates
- CMS management of agency and client websites
The role will also involve some event management, strategy support, filming, and networking.
You need to be organised, tactical, proactive, good with people and a natural storyteller. You’ll be working with clients in the manufacturing, construction and renewable energy sectors – it’s technical and specialist. We’d love it if you were familiar with any of these sectors, but it’s not a dealbreaker if not, however an agency background would be useful.
You’ll be adept at working with a PR stack which includes tools like Trello, Moz, Canva and Google Analytics, practised at using the main four social channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram), and understand why data is only part of the picture when it comes to public relations. You’ll understand the nuances of client management, the changing role of the PR professional and have an awareness of the issues affecting our industry now and over the next few years.
You’ll be committed to professional development and act ethically and professionally for clients and as part of our agency team.
This is a part-time, flexible working position, which can be both home and office-based. However, due to the wide-spread location of our clients we do need someone with a driving licence and access to a car.
We’re a small team who discuss things openly – from last night’s episode of Bake Off, to regular state of the business updates, to mental health. The agency is five years old and we have bases in Leeds and Glasgow and work with a mix of retained and project clients. We work from the office, from home, from libraries, and from trains – we’re very much in favour of adopting modern working practices for the benefit of all. We believe in continuous training and allocate time each week to read up on the latest blogs, articles and news affecting our industry and share our knowledge with each other and our clients.
Hours and salary:
This post is 16 hours per week for an initial 3 month contract. We’re hiring because we’re growing and there is scope for this contract to both extend and become permanent.
The salary is £27k pro-rata.
